How Gloucester Works can work for you Gloucester Works Client offer Gloucester Works is part of an investment plan worth £6 million that has been developed to meet the jobs and skills needs of Gloucester residents. Designed to enable local workers to take advantage of any job opportunities created by the ongoing investment and regeneration in the city, Gloucester Works also offers one-to-one support and advice to workers recently made redundant or those facing redundancy. We offer free training opportunities for local people to help them to achieve the qualifications and skills they need to move into long term employment or improve the prospects of those in employment to stay in work and progress up the job ladder. Why do I need advice from Gloucester Works? Taking the first steps back into employment, entering the jobs market for the first time or re-training following a redundancy can be a daunting challenge. Gloucester Works will help you to remove the barriers that prevent you from achieving your true potential and find out what you want to do. Gloucester Works has commissioned approved training providers and works with the Sector Skills Councils (SSCs) to identify the specific skills needs of each business sector.
