The Service

Gloucester Works offers free independent support in training, employment and recruitment as part of a plan to meet the jobs and skills needs of workers and employers in Gloucester and the surrounding areas.

Organisations from Gloucester and the surrounding areas are encouraged to sign the City Commitment; agreeing to up-skill existing staff and supporting them to achieve minimum educational standards through basic skills training.

In addition employers are able to advertise their vacancies through the Gloucester Works' Jobs Bank which will give them access to a large pool of 'job ready' applicants matched to their vacancies.

Employees can access individual advice and in-work support, and get the chance to develop valuable skills while Gloucester Works advisors work with training providers who will assess the individual needs of your employees and offer convenient, relevant, cost-effective training.
